How to create a Vacation Rule
Getting
ready to hit the beach ? Here is a quick
way to let everyone else know that you will be ignoring their emails for the
next few days …
- Open up the
GroupWise Web Client by clicking here.
- Click on the
Options
menu item on the top right hand of the
menu bar.
- Click on the Rules
tab
on the menu bar,
- You will find the
Type to be already set to Vacation. Click on the Create button, fill up
the details of your message and click on the save button.

- On the Windows
client you create a rule in pretty much the same way (click on the Tools |
Rules option) but there are lots more options there, which you do not
really need for a Vacation rule. So
even if you are at work, I would advise you to go ahead and use the web
client as it is quick, easy, and has the additional benefit that the rules
created this way can be edited over the web, so you could update your
messages while sipping your pina colada.
